address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related substance
misuse disorders in Australia.
beyondblue
is a bipartisan initiative of the Australian, state and territory
governments with a key goal of raising community awareness about
depression and reducing stigma associated with the illness.
beyondblue
works in
partnership with health services, schools, workplaces, universities,
media and community organisations, as well as people living with
depression, to bring together their expertise around depression.
Reach Out! is a web-based service that
inspires young people to help themselves through tough times.
The aim of the service is to improve young
people’s mental health and well being by providing support information
and referrals in a format that appeals to young people.
MMHA links a wide range of state and
territory mental health specialists and services, advocacy groups and
tertiary institutions to promote the mental health and well being of
Australia's diverse communities.
Multicultural Mental Health Australia is
funded under the National Mental Health Strategy and National Suicide
Prevention Strategy by the Australian Government Department of Health
and Ageing.
