Crisis Intervention Service (ACIS)
The
Assessment and Crisis Intervention Service (ACIS) is the main point of
access to the Public Adult Mental Health Services. The primary functions
are triage, emergency psychiatric assessment/management and crisis
intervention
Mensline Australia is a dedicated service for men with relationship and
family concerns.
When you feel like it's all getting too much, help is as close as the
phone.
The Parent Helpline is a telephone
information service for parents in South Australia.
The Children, Youth and Women's Health
Services (CYWHS) Parent Helpline provides telephone information and
support - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.
Established in
1998, the SANE Helpline provides information about symptoms, treatments,
medications, where to go for support and help for carers. Easy to read
pamphlets and other information are also sent out on request. Sometimes
the call is urgent – when someone experiencing psychotic symptoms is
undiagnosed and not receiving help, for example.
The Cancer Council
Helpline is a free, confidential telephone information and support
service run by Cancer Councils in each state and territory.
Anyone can call The Cancer Council Helpline - cancer patients, people
living with cancer, their families, carers and friends, teachers,
students and healthcare professionals.
Specially trained staff are available to answer your questions about
cancer and offer emotional or practical support.
Lifeline’s 13 11 14 service is staffed by trained
volunteer telephone counsellors who are ready to take calls 24-hour a
day, any day of the week from anywhere in Australia. These volunteers
operate from Lifeline Centres in every State and Territory around
Australia. Lifeline answers around 450,000 calls per year from people
needing emotional support.
Anyone can call Lifeline. The 13 11 14 service offers a counselling
service that respects everyone’s right to be heard, understood and cared
for. We also provide information about other support services that are
available in communities around Australia.
