Ingredients: 

           .  2 eggs    
           .  1/4 cup castor sugar
           .  1/2 tsp vanilla
           .  1/2 tsp cinnamon
           .  3/4 cup self raising wholemeal flour
           .  2 cups finely chopped dates
           .  1 cup finely chopped pecans

 Method:

 1. Place eggs in a bowl and beat until light and frothy.

 2. Add sugar and vanilla and beat well.

 3. Add sifted cinnamon, flour as well as dates and pecans.    Stir well.

 Spread mixture into a lightly greased and lined 26cm x 16cm lamington tin.

 Bake in a slow oven, 150C for 30 minutes.
