Carer Support services are organised to promote the
health and wellbeing of all Carers in the South and East Metropolitan
region of Adelaide. All activities are planned in consultation with
Carers. In responding to Carers requests some events are planned for
Carers to be accompanied by the person they care for, whilst others
provide an opportunity for the Carer to take time away from their
responsibilities.
If required, transport and respite are provided to
facilitate their attendance.

Carers Days Off
Well organised social activities and support to facilitate attendance helps
to overcome the isolation experienced by Carers. Carers meet other Carers in
a positive non-threatening environment where they may choose their own level
of involvement. They gain a sense of belonging, take a break and make new
friends.
4 Day Break
A short break planned for the Carer to take time out with the person they
care for. It provides a change of environment, a break from routine, an
opportunity to relax and visit new places with others, and a chance to make
new friends. A team of staff and volunteers are on hand to offer assistance
and ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
Carers can access ten therapeutic massages which provide a
nurturing and relaxing experience which will assist their physical and
mental health and encourage them to recognise the importance of looking
after themselves.
